‘To God be the glory - great things He hath done’. Indeedit’s a great blessing to share God’s deeds in my life and is still doing,

My Family Background

I was born on April 05, 1980, in a Dalit colony (downtrodden and untouchable people allocated area) Vijayawada, NTR district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, South India, we live in the area surrounded by shoe repairers and cobblers on the piece of land 60 square yards, I’m the third of seven children and was brought up from a low-income family. My dad has been a faithful country pastor for the past 45 years, I father raised as an orphan, and at the age of 4 months he faced a huge catastrophe lost his father (my grandfather) stricken by thunderbolts since then faced abuse, childhood challenges and struggles and raised from a cobblers family background, 40 percentage of the population of Vijayawada lives in Dalit colonies (broken families and untouchables) and slums trapped in poverty with little hope of Change.

My Father Aron was miraculously preserved by a Christian family according to the plan of God, as was common in those days. My Great grandfather Jacob Mandala got saved by American Baptist Missions in 1945 and worked as a chairman of the deacons in the American Baptist Church at Gollapudi and it still exists.

Childhood

My father struggled to meet my daily needs and had seven children by leading a faith life and fully depended on God for every basic need. Since I came from a poor family, I couldn’t afford my basic educational needs and couldn’t gain quality education, and I faced several obstacles in my primary education and secondary level. Many times I was sent home until I brought back my tuition fee and I missed several classes, because of my Dalit(downtrodden and untouchable castes) background I was greatly humiliated, I was not allowed to drink water from the water pots to quench my thirst, and I faced cursing words and verbal attacks from the head teacher and severe discrimination just because I was from downtrodden communities, they believe that if I drink from the water pots that water become unclean, hence I was not allowed, in India teachers are considered next to god, despite of all these odds I got passed my 7th standard examination along with 5 students whereas 28 students given examinations.

Unfortunately, there was no financial support for my further education, and in 1992, my father joined me at a Christian children’s home in a village called Pallikona. I completed my secondary studies at the children’s home, where my basic physical needs were met.

My mother is a strong prayer warrior she pleaded to the Lord even from her womb, for seven children she prayed constantly to be saved in early lives and be blessed in God’s hands to be the instruments for His Kingdom purpose, whenever I see my mother she was kneeling before the Lord and shedding tears for my salvation, God answered her prayers and seven children got saved and doing God’s work.

Knowing Jesus

In April 1993, I was admitted to a Christian hospital due to severe stomach pain caused by a burst appendix. I underwent treatment and surgery there. Every morning, a devotion prayer was held in the hospital. One morning during this prayer meeting, they sang about the love of God revealed at Calvary. As I listened to that song, my heart became fully immersed in the meaning of Calvary’s love. Unknowingly, tears rolled down my cheeks, and I cried. My heart was broken with godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7:10). Deep down, I felt I was a sinner in need of a holy God. For two days, I cried in prayer, confessing all my sins and repenting. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and the Lord of my life as the Holy Spirit worked within me. I experienced great relief, as though a huge burden had been lifted, and holy joy filled my heart. I healed from my surgery and was discharged from the hospital after five days.

Since that moment, I have felt a hunger for the presence of God. I spent most of my time reading God’s Word and in prayer. On September 22, 1996, I was baptized. Since then, I have been actively involved in sharing my testimony and salvation experience at children’s camps and youth camps, which has given me a satisfaction I had never found anywhere else.

Ministry Calling

I completed my 12th standard, and one day after lunch while resting on my bed, I fell asleep and had a vision of a man in white clothing. He showed me Isaiah chapter 61 and urged me to get up and read that chapter, which I had never seen before. I was surprised by this experience. When I awoke, I read that chapter with excitement and realized that God had called me and chosen me for His Gospel work. “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives…

I had a strong desire to learn more about the Word of God and pursue higher education in theology. After prayer, I discerned God’s perfect will for my life. Despite my challenging financial circumstances, I felt a guiding vision from God that continually strengthened my faith. The small offerings my father received during Sunday worship at his humble ministry helped cover my travel and admission fees for the theological seminary.

I ventured to Northern India to attend Emmanuel Theological Seminary in Kota, Rajasthan. After a 36-hour train ride, I arrived in a state with a distinctly different culture. India is a multicultural and multilingual country, with significant differences between its regions. Everything felt foreign to me—the language, the people, the cuisine, and the weather. During my theological studies from 1997 to February 1998, I faced numerous struggles and obstacles. A team from Liberty University came to teach a curriculum called the Bible Training Centre for Pastors (BTCP), where God granted me understanding and knowledge from Scripture, providing clear direction and strength for my life. We often encountered strong opposition from extremists, yet each time, perseverance prevailed.

My Family

After completing my seminary education, I married Anitha Thomas on July 29, 1999. Annie is a godly wife, a devoted mother, and a woman of great compassion. Throughout these twenty-five years, she has stood firm with me through both the good times and the challenges of our mission activities, spreading the Gospel together. Annie also successfully completed her graduation in Emmanuel Theological Seminary at Kota Rajasthan in 1998 February.

God has blessed us with our children: two sons and a special daughter. Our first son, Prince Joseph Vijay, is 24 years old, our second son, Harry John Hus, is 22 years old, and our daughter, Phoebe, is 17 years old.

I started my ministry in June 1998 with the vision of fulfilling the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus. I’ve always had a strong and enduring compassion for marginalized communities, rejected individuals, and abandoned children. Through my practical ministry, I learned that one cannot address the spiritual needs of a person until their basic physical needs are met. I committed to addressing their spiritual needs by first meeting their physical needs, holding God’s word in one hand and bread in the other.

Impacting communities & missions establishing

Our mission began in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, in South India, starting from humble beginnings with meagre resources. Our goal is to bring Christ’s life and hope to rural communities.

Imagine a life where one survives on just two pieces of bread or a flour tortilla a day, drinks only a glass of water and sleeps in fear of not knowing where the next meal will come from. This is the reality for many vulnerable children, whom we have chosen to serve. With a vision fueled by selflessness and a resilient spirit, we are inspired by the belief that “God is the Father to the fatherless,” reminding us of our responsibility to care for these impoverished children who often feel unwanted.

Regardless of their religious backgrounds or beliefs, we recognize that all children are created in the image of God and deserve love, shelter, food, and clothing. Our aim extends beyond basic needs; we seek to provide medical care, life skills education, and Bible training. We pray daily and, with God’s grace, confront the obstacles that stand in our way, striving to offer hope to these children and ensuring that no one is humiliated or driven to despair and end their lives and rather embrace life

Our mission has resulted in training 320 young men and women from tribal communities and launching 160 orphan leaders who positively impact their cultures. We focus on reaching marginalized groups affected by superstitious beliefs and harmful practices. Over the past twenty-seven years, our ministry has faced numerous challenges, including threats and attacks on our lives, I walked hundreds of miles and experienced perilous experiences, through it all, we have maintained our faith, trusting in God’s guidance despite the hardships.

I successfully completed my Master of Theology from ITS – India Theological Seminary in 2009 Hyderabad.

I received my Doctor of Divinity from ACE – Theological College & Open University in 2024, I received Bishop consecration from ACE Diocese on 26 February 2025 in accordance of usefulness in the Church Governance and services, we planted many churches, life home, conducted several medical camps, mobile clinics, anti drug camps, ministry among leper colonies, mission activities to the blind and dowry – cast away victims, relief work in times of natural calamities and many humanitarian services to all.

We dream of establishing a church in Vijayawada, the birthplace of our glorious work, through the Bethel Blessing Gathering, envisioned as a space of worship. “Our faith teaches us to believe in what is not yet seen, with the hope that our efforts will glorify God for generations to come” May His name be forever honoured. Amen.
